Our Story

Born and raised in Erie on the Lake, Patrick Whaling’s love for boating started early and continues to this day. This passion first led him to a job at Everglades National Park in their marina, then to Marine Mechanics Institute in Orlando to obtain his certification. Eventually, Patrick and his wife, Nicole, moved back to raise their family in Erie, and Whaling Marine Services was developed shortly after. 

For over a decade, Whaling Marine Services has built great relationships in the Erie boating community and continues to expand their offerings. Beyond customer work, you’ll find Patrick restoring boats for personal use and to sell, and you’ll see him on the water with his wife and 4 daughters, who love to work right beside him.

We know more than anyone that good Erie weather is precious. That’s why boaters here need reliable and quality work so they can get out and enjoy the season.

There’s no such thing as a bad day on the water.
